With our time in Barcelona over, it was time to head to Copenhagen. I took advantage of the great intra-Europe fares and booked us on Vueling.
We got to the airport with plenty of time to spare. We got through check-in and security quickly and made our way to one of the several Priority Pass lounges. In this case we went ot he VIP SALA Lounge.
One of the better Priority Pass lounges I've been to, although definitely in need of a refresh. We noticed our flight was delayed by almost an hour giving us plenty of time to lounge before heading to the gate.
Plenty of seating and the food and beverage station in the middle of the lounge.
Views out towards the terminals.
The staff brought out lunch that was pretty good for bulk lounge food.
The snacks and beverage area.
Area with reading materials.
It was at this point that based on the delay, we should have had about 45-minutes until we needed to head towards the gate. However, I checked the monitor only for it to say the flight is on-time and in final boarding! We quickly grabbed our bags and made a mad dash for our gate, which was of course one of the furthest away down the terminal. It was quite a scene and I wish we could have been captured the saga as we made it on the plane as the last passengers.
Needless to say, definitely not Swiss precision...
Ahhh made it and settled, phew!
We soon pushed back and headed to the runway.
Up we went out over the ocean before doing a 270 and heading north over Barcelona. Got a good view of the beach.
What was really cool was as we flew over the Pyrenees Mountain range (between Spain and France), the snow caps had Sahara Snow as they call it where sand from Africa falls on the south faces and makes the snow there appear orange.
After all the festivities of getting on our flight, I decided to take up the option and got myself a gin and tonic kit while MsFlamingo took a nap.
It turned out to be really good!
After listening to some chill music over France and Germany, we began our descent into Denmark.
A really nice and clear day for approach, getting to see the countryside and waterways.
Smooth final approach into CPH.
We touched down and made our way to our gate in decent time.
Like that our flight was over, Vueling turned out to be fine once onboard, but oh boy, don't trust their monitors or website if it says the flight is delayed!
