After getting my bag after my ATH-ARN flight on Aegean, I took it to check-in with Swiss only to find out LX38 from ZRH-SFO had been cancelled due to a mechanical. Ugh, at least I was able to move meetings later in the week.
After getting checked in, I headed through security and to my classic Joe & The Juice in Arlanda T5.
Stress down was literally perfect for the moment as I made calls to re-arrange my week's schedule.
Then time for lunch and to Pontus in the Air, an Amex lounge for Platinum or Centurion cardholders. It was luckily not too busy and easy to find seats.
With a good view over the apron, but with few planes to watch.
The lunch menu.
I went with the butternut squash ravioli, most definitely not keto, but hey can't win em all.
Then to the SAS Lounge to work until my flight. The far corner is much quieter and I chuckled at the last time I was here with Zuerichspotter before our Hong Kong adventure.
About 30-minutes before our flight to ZRH, I headed to the gate, past several of the nice areas they have in the terminal to relax at.
And our C-Series plane arriving.
Ahh despite not having real business class, it's still by far my favorite narrow-body plane with comfortable seats, huge windows and it's very open feeling.
A nice engine and wing view.
And soon we were off.
Up and away.
With some beautiful views on our climb out.
The meal wasn't my favorite Swiss short haul offering with smoked fish, but the cheese and dessert were great.
View out of the huge windows, pics don't do them justice.
Another plane passing underneath us.
And some beautiful shots on our descent into rainy Zurich.
The Victornox logo looking a bit faded.
And a smooth touchdown.
The crew on this flight wasn't the best Swiss crew I've had, they were a bit slow and not as proactive as usual. Oh well, it was a short flight and really looking forward to another long haul Swiss First flight in a day.
