Heading out of Hong Kong and to the airport on the Airport Express is alway an enjoyable and easy experience.
A festive seasons greetings display.
I got to the Singapore check-in counter and surprisingly they weren't setup and we were only 3-hours from departure.
Luckily eventually someone showed up and was through the check-in quickly.
Nobody in security so breezed through in minutes and made my quickly to the Singapore SilverKris lounge downstairs.
The lounge is nice, but nothing spectacular. The business class section I've been in several times before and is large with a bar and self serve food area.
The comfortable seating.
And dining area.
A view from the other side of the room.
Then to the separate First Class section of the lounge.
Smaller, but still large and spacious, impressive I wasn't expecting it to be this large.
Decent selection of alcohol.
And a nice food spread.
Elegant, but I was still full from James Suckling Wine Central and wanted to work up an appetite for the flight
The dining area chairs.
Then the seating area.
I posted up in the corner here before deciding to take a shower only to find out the showers in the SQ lounge were under construction and I would have to use the United or Thai showers which the Singapore staff arranged.
Check out my review of my brief stay at the Thai lounge when I went to shower.
After returning to the SQ lounge, I posted up to finish some emails in the corner.
It was soon time to head to the gate to board and head home! The Singapore lounge in HKG is nice, but not worth getting to early to spend time in, unlike Cathay's Pier lounges.
