To continue the celebration of MsFlamingo's birthday, we went to Michael Mina in the Bellagio since we were seeing O by Cirque du Soleil after dinner. Walking in there's a beautiful fresh fish bar.
To start there were fantastic pita and mezze dips. We also ordered the Alaskan King crab bite. So incredibly flavorful, it'd be great to have a meal of just that!
Next up, had to try the signature caviar dish. We also started with cocktails as our wine decanted.
Beautiful and tasty, I love layers that mix together with temperature, texture and flavor contrasts.
MsFlamingo got tuna tartare, perfectly executed and she let me have some.
We got an artichoke soup to split, it was ok, a bit meh on the texture and flavor.
Then fantastic tableside presentation of the lobster pot pie on the left and an amazing bass on the right.
MsFlamingo had the bass which had South-East Asian spices, incredibly fragrant and fresh. The piece I tried was one of the best fish dishes I've had anywhere.
I had the classic lobster pot pie, amazing as always!
After the amazing mains, had a digestif of Grand Marnier 100, one of my favorites.
Then the parade of desserts, starting with this fantastic lemon tart that MsFlamingo ordered.
I ordered a refreshing strawberry and granite. It was a bit too refreshing and lite for my tastes, so ordered a rice pudding as well.
Much more on the lines of what I was looking for!
What a great meal at Michael Mina! We headed off to O and had a fantastic time.
